Since January 1st falls on a Monday, it will not be a holy day of obligation, but it is a very important feast day in the Catholic Church. It is the Feast of Mary the Mother of God. There will be a Mass at 7:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day and there will be Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament after Mass until 8:00 p.m.

There will be the normal praise and worship from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. with confessions being heard at the same time. What better way to start off the New Year than by participating in Mass to hear God’s Word and to receive Jesus in the Eucharist and by making the time to spend some quality time with the Lord as we seek His blessings for the New Year.
