RCIA-Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
“All you who are thirsty, come to the water! You who have no money,… come, without paying and without cost, Why spend your money for what is not bread; your wages for what fails to satisfy? …Come to me heedfully, listen, that you may have life.” Isaiah 55: 1-3

Are you an adult who is wondering what it would be like to receive the Initial Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist and/or Confirmation? If you are seeking to enter into a new way of faith and want to inquire about becoming Catholic or if you have been Baptized and never received the Sacraments of First Communion (Eucharist) and Confirmation, come and join us as we begin our journey towards the one who offers “the way and the truth and the life”. (John 14: 6)

Adult Classes
Adult Classes begin every September. If you are an adult needing all sacraments or know of an adult who does, please contact the church office for more information at (361) 853-7371 regarding the start of the class and dates.

Classes for adults needing ONLY Confirmation also begin each September and prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in December of each year. Depending on the number of “Confirmation Only” candidates a different meeting day may be necessary and will be determined at the first Confirmation meeting.

For all adult classes attendees-please provide your updated Baptism Certificate or Birth Certificate (if you are needing all sacraments a birth certificate will be needed).  Certificates must be given to the director at the first RCIA class.  Please note that Mass attendance is expected as part of the process and preparation.
