ABOUT OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE SOCIETY

Our Lady of Guadalupe Society is a religious association organized by Mexican-American Catholic women to provide leadership in social concerns and perform works of charity. The organization’s name derives from Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas. This society helps foster female development and leadership in the Catholic Church.

The society is made up of not only women but also men and in some cases entire families belong to the society. Still others become members due to a family devotion to Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, including a tradition of family involvement in a society that has been passed from one generation to the next. Here at Ss. Cyril & Methodius, the Guadalupanas are an integral part of the community.

Everyone is welcomed to join. Society Masses are held every 2nd Sunday of the month at 11:00 a.m. and Society Meetings are held every 2nd Friday of the month in the Works of Mercy building. A rosary is prayed every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. inside the church.
